Water For Flushing Toxins

Water is needed to flush out toxins that accumulate in the body. The kidney is largely responsible for removing toxins and to flush out the kidneys you need to drink a lot of water so that the toxins are passed out with the water in the form of urine. Water is also needed to remove the fat from the body that it consumes while converting the fat into energy. Water also hydrates all the body parts and the skin in particular. So in order to maintain a well nourished and fresh skin water is essential. In an indirect way water can also help you to reduce your weight as consumption of water does alleviate the hunger pangs and would therefore having you consume lesser food. Dehydration or less water in the body can cause imbalances in tissues and this could affect bodily processes. Digestion requires a lot of water, as most of the digestive agents are acidic in nature and if these are not properly diluted with water, problems could arise. Water also helps to moisturize the air in the lungs, making breathing easier and also helps to regulate the temperature of the body.

Dietary supplements and water together

Nowadays a number of medical practitioners suggest that any dietary supplements that are taken are used in the form of liquids. According to them, the absorption of these supplements is very easy as the body does not have to break them down if they are taken in the form of pills or solid forms. Water is a universal solvent and most natural based supplements would dissolve in water easily. It is estimated that when the supplements are in liquid form almost all of the supplements are absorbed by the body. in the case of pills this absorption is as low as 25 percent, due to the digestive process being involved. These processes get upset or busy with the ingestion of food. So quite often the supplements taken are left undigested and therefore not absorbed. This fact also makes medical practitioners suggest higher does than are really necessary. So a liquid supplement would even turn out to be cheaper in the long run.

What Happens When Your Body Is Short On Water

The body is very sensitive to any shortage of water in it, and thirst is one such warning. Drink water whenever you feel thirsty. You will find your thirst sated easily with plain water and not so easily with the cold drinks and other beverages that are so much a part of the modern diet. No wonder that long distance runners prefer that glass or bottle of water to even energy drinks.
